Thanks for sharing, hopefully it doesn't end up in the parts box!

well, I had made some adjustments to the bird, THEN I decided to flash the new software, WRONG THING to do, now the computer does not recognize it. As before it installed the USB DRIVER, and all worked as advertised, but flashing the software took care of that. So my BAD, trusting to software, that had plenty of warnings out, but I didn't get the message....
So you re-flashed it and you are good to go?

Welcome to the site. That Hubsan X4 Quadcopter is more of a lower level and is available on Amazon for $69. if you have a higher budget, I would look at some other options. Check out this video:

By the way if I'm attaching li-ion 2s 14500 with mini regulator only for GPS Module how long the GPS will last...

Ah, so you have a diy drone you built, correct? Wish I could help with your question, but unfortunately I'm not familiar with that setup or those modifications. Hopefully someone can answer your question on how long the GPS will last from their experience. Can you post some pictures of what you have there?

Yes it can drain your battery faster. What type of drone are you flying?

This is what Best Buy states with the drones it sells:
The FAA requires operators of unmanned aircraft weighing more than 0.55 pounds (250 grams) on takeoff (including everything on board or attached), and operating outdoors, be registered at www.faa.gov/uas/registration. If you are under age 13, you must have a parent or someone age 13 or older register for you.
Additional state or local requirements may apply. Check your local jurisdiction. The following websites may help you make informed decisions about how regulations impact you: www.knowbeforeyoufly.org and www.modelaircraft.org.

It seems from the info I have found online and at a local RC Hobby shop that I register once and pay the fee - $5 - per year which you pay $15 for a 3 year period.
I was also confused and thought that each drone/quadcopter/helicopter/airplane between .55 and 55 lbs. would have to each have their own separate registered number.
After checking in the places I stated, I found out I register once, get one number, and use that one number for each "overweight" lol aircraft that fits in the range previously stated.
If anyone has anything different, please post.
Thanks.
Great info Bob, thank you for posting. I wasn't aware of this.

Hi,
I finally received the quadcopter on Christmas eve.
I would like to thank you for the info.
I would like to caution all who buy a quadcopter. Mini Orion.
It worked great the first day. Then the second day it went wacko.
Tried everything in the manual to correct the problem.
When the transmitter was adjusted to that the blades would start spinning, the copter took off without increasing power, went sideways was crashed before I could even make any adjustments.
I am going to be returning it.
I even tried replacing the blades, being careful to get the correct A or B blade where it was supposed to go.
Great information, thanks for posting this.

The PDF I downloaded says A & B but the enclosed manual says there is no difference now and can be installed universal. Also I can't get the sun screen to open and I'm afraid I'll break it trying. I did a web search to see if there was a way to reset the controller and or drone to factory settings but couldn't find any helpful info. Does anyone out there have any solutions other than sending it back to QVC ? I was expecting to really have some fun but this is getting frustrating.
Also great info, I'm not buying a Mini Orion..lol. Thanks!

Thanks for joining and posting. How much are you selling it for?

Have you considered a GoPro?

That's a good point, I'd be happy to create a forum category for FCC and other government regulations.

Welcome to RCDroneForum and thanks for posting. You can either remove that and see about fabricating something to work in its place or contact dji support for either repair or see if they can recommend a repair part#.
