Good morning.

To reduce overall machine vibration, I added dedicated vibration damping silicone pads to the NEMA17 stepper motor (https://www.oyostepper.es/category-6-b0-Motor-paso-a-paso-NEMA-17.html). After installation, the noise level improved significantly, but the precise micro-feed tracking rhythm changed.

Small inching movements are no longer precise, and transitions at corners in the trajectory become sluggish, completely disrupting the previously adjusted process parameters. Replacing it with a rigid base restored normal operation, indicating that it's not a driver or program issue.

It seems the slight deformation of the vibration damping material altered the motor's instantaneous torque transmission characteristics. I'm unsure how to balance noise reduction and precise control.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions to share?
